Salvatore Ferragamo 1898-1960
3 June 2024L’officina del volo
7 June 2024The exhibition consists of over 400 works (paintings, sculptures, design objects, books, photography) by around 100 artists who tell the story of the dawn of Italian style, from the birth of Modernity to the economic boom. This transversal narration recalls the origin of Made in Italy across art, fashion, design, architecture and publishing.
From the paintings of Luigi Russolo to the photographs of Umberto Boccioni, from the advertising posters of Marcello Dudovich to the tapestries of Fortunato Depero, from the design drawings of Sant'Elia to the photographs of Carlo Mollino and Gianni Berengo Gardin, from the ceramics of Giò Ponti to the sketches of Lorenzo Castellaro for Cisitalia, from Armando Testa's advertising campaigns to Bruno Munari's books.
The exhibition path is divided into four sections - Birth of Modernity, Futurist Avant-garde, Eur Utopia, From Reconstruction to the Economic Boom - and recalls the history of large Italian companies both through communication campaigns and iconic design objects.
The exhibition can be modulated according to the needs of the exhibition venue
