Novecento. Arte e vita in Italia tra le due guerre

The Massimo & Sonia Cirulli Archive participates in the exhibition with the loan of works that refer to the turmoil of the society of those years, retracing the moments of the rise of Fascism, with important implications in the daily and political life of the Country, and its defeat, well exemplified in the emaciated and suffering image of the dux in the sculpture of Giandante X.

The exhibition is divided into thematic sections that cover the entire chronological period taken into consideration: the cult of the homeland, the rise and fall of Mussolini's image, the classical myth, the cult of the body and the ideology of sport , motherhood and family, rural Italy, the people of the sea, the great monumental construction sites, aerial painting.
