A forma da ideais.Design italiano do pós-guerra
10 December 2016Bruno Munari. Artista totale
10 February 2017Fondazione Massimo e Sonia Cirulli takes part in this exhibition dedicated to the Roaring 20s in Italy with an important group of works by the likes of Giovanni Guerrini, Giovanni Patrone, and Gio Ponti. With Art Déco, a new aesthetic taste emerges, which abandons the idealism of Art Nouveau and embraces a new artistic language. The myth of nature is substituted by a fascination with the machine and with the artificial lights of the city.
Thanks to the Biennali di Arti Decorative in Monza and to the 1925 Universal Expo in Paris, dedicated to the Arts Décoratifs, during the 1920s we witness a boom in the production of decoratve art, from furnishing to ceramics, glass, textiles, and fashion.
