27 March 2024The exhibition consists of 200 works in different media: advertising graphics, photography and design objects by over thirty artists who tell the story of the birth and explosion of a new lifestyle in Italy between the 1950s and the early 1960s. From Bruno Munari to Ettore Sottsass, from Erberto Carboni to Lorenzo Castellaro, from Carlo Mollino to Giò Ponti, from Marco Zanuso to Pietro Dorazio and Franco Grignani, the artists describe the modern and industrial face of Italy.
The exhibition path is divided into three sections: "La pubblicità bambina", "L'Italia che si muove", "The Italian fabric across art, industry and design" and tells the story of the revolution in people's customs and habits under the effect of "economic miracle", starting from the strategic sectors of Made in Italy: from furniture to small and large household appliances, from the new food industry (Barilla, Invernizzi) to means of transport (Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Piaggio), from fashion ( Max Mara), to products communication. From the innovative communication campaigns, signed by Erberto Carboni, Bruno Munari, Armando Testa and Franz Marangolo for Barilla, Rai, Lavazza and Campari, to vintge photographs, in dialogue with the icons of design. The exhibition can be modulated according to the needs of the exhibition venue.
