Italian style. Art and Society

Over 150 selected works make up this modern wunderkammer on Italian art of the twentieth century which celebrates "Italian know-how" and offers a documented point of view on the creative and aesthetic artistic complexity of Italy in the first decades of the twentieth century.

Through the multiplicity of artistic fields taken into consideration, the spirit of the century is reflected, as in a prism, in a continuous dialogue between painting, sculpture, architecture and advertising graphics.

Starting from the great masters of the beginning of the century such as, among others, Previati and Nomellini, we arrive at the rationalist city of EUR designed by great architects such as Piacentini and Moretti (to name a few). Within this time frame, room by room, the works on display pay homage to Italian creativity, from fashion to food, from theater to cinema, from land transport to air transport, passing through the first Atlantic flight, to the rethinking of the city in modern key with masterpieces by Sironi and Licini.
