Depero Futurista 1913 – 1950
18 October 2014The exhibition consists of over 90 works, from the period 1927 -1950, which reveal an unprecedented aspect of Munari's artistic research, from the futurist phase to the first experiments on kinetic sculpture, from the research on post-war abstract art to light projections up to to “site specific” installations.
The exhibition is divided into three sections (Art, graphics and documents) and presents a selection of drawings, sketches, paintings, collages and photo collages, useless machines, sculptures and direct projections that tell the complex aesthetics of Munari, an eclectic and irreverent character in which constructivist, dadaist and surrealist influences operate and find applications in art and graphics. A section of the exhibition is dedicated to Bruno Munari's collaboration with the main Italian companies, magazines and publishing houses, from Campari to Pirelli to Agip, from Campo Grafico to Einaudi.
